PROJECT Z7

Profile Ownership and Control

Z7 separates ownership from day-to-day permissions so profiles can be operated safely by people, teams and applications.

Profile owner

Controls the platform profile and its transfer lifecycle.

Publishing roles

May update content, media and service endpoints without receiving transfer rights.

Delegated applications

Can receive narrowly scoped, revocable capabilities.

Transfer

Changes the profile owner through an authenticated confirmation flow.

Recovery

Restores access through defined account and security procedures.

Auditability

Important changes remain visible through account history and status information.

Profile lifecycle

A useful ownership model covers purchase or activation, updates, delegated publishing, protected transfer, suspension, dispute handling, recovery and retirement. Each transition should identify the acting authority and produce a state that compatible resources can understand.

Delegation without surrender

Publishing a description, managing a service endpoint and transferring the whole profile are different powers. Delegation should be explicit, scoped and revocable so teams and applications can perform their tasks without receiving unrestricted control.

Recovery and confirmation

High-impact actions should confirm the exact number, subject, acting account and destination. Recovery procedures should anticipate lost credentials, key rotation and revocation without silently transferring authority.
